Ibuprofen Suspension 100mg/5ml500mg

Pharmacological Class:

Analgesic / Antipyretic

Indications:

Mild to moderate pain in migraine / post operative pain / rheumatic disorders & other musculoskeletal disorders.

Dosage & Administration.

• Adults: – 1.2 – 1.8 g daily in 3 divided doses. Do not exceed 3.2g / day.
• Children: – 20mg/kg – upto 40mg/kg body weight in juvenile RA. Maximum daily dose is 500mg for those weighing less than 30kg
• Not recommended for children under 7kg
• To reduce fever; children dose is 5-10mg/kg body weight.

Side Effects.
GI disturbances / headache / dizziness / skin rash / pruritus / abnormal liver function test.

Precaution:
Exrecise due deligence in asthmatic patients / bleeding disorders / Renal Failure / CVD / PUD / & those taking coumarin anticoagulants.

Contra – indications:
Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen / angiodema/ bronchspastic reaction to Aspirin
