Cetirizine 10mg tabs

Pharmacological Class:
Antihistamine

Indications:
Allergic Rhinitis
Allergic skin conditions associated with pruritus such as Urticaria

Dosage:

• Adults / Children > 12 yrs – 1 tablet or 10 ml OD ( Pref. Nocte).
• Children 6 – 12 yrs: 10ml daily as a single dose or in divided doses BD.
• Children 2 – 6 yrs: 5mg daily as a single dose or in divided doses BD.
• Children 1 – 2 yrs: 2.5ml daily as a single dose or in divided doses BD.
• Children 6 Mns – 1 Yr: 1.25ml OD
• Under 6 Mns: Taken Pediatrician’s Advice.
• Pregnancy: Caution – safety has not been established;

Side Effects:
Headache/dizziness/ fatigue/nausea and GI discomfort.

Long half life = OD dosing
Selective H1 antagonist = Non – sedating
